Who we are
EqualFaith Europe (Stichting i.o., Netherlands) is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@equalfaitheurope.org for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the organization and respond to you directly:
- Name, email address, and message content when you use our contact form.
- Your email address if you subscribe to updates.
- Payment and billing information when you donate — this is collected and processed entirely by our donation platform, WhyDonate, and its payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.
We do not collect data through cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts of any kind. This site runs without any third-party trackers.
Legal basis for processing
We process contact-form and subscription data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form or subscribe. We process donation-related data on the basis of our legitimate interest in accepting, recording, and administering donations, and under WhyDonate's and Stripe's own terms as independent processors.
How we use it
We use your information solely to respond to your inquiry, process your donation, or send you updates you've asked to receive. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what you contacted us for.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. Donations are handled by WhyDonate and Stripe, which may process or store data outside the European Economic Area under their own GDPR-compliant safeguards. Beyond this, we disclose personal data only where required by Dutch or EU law.
Data retention
We keep contact-form correspondence for up to 12 months after the matter is resolved, then delete it. If you subscribe to updates, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Donation records are retained as long as required by Dutch financial and tax law.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; to restrict or object to how we process it; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@equalfaitheurope.org. If you believe we haven't handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. The only cookies you may encounter are set by WhyDonate or Stripe once you leave our site to complete a donation, governed by their own cookie policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our organization develops — particularly once EqualFaith Europe completes its Dutch stichting registration. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date below.
